This is outrageous. The message is that no member of the US ruling class is permitted to break ranks and use their money for anything other than advancing their class’ interests. US “progressives” must speak out against this political persecution.

This is deeply serious. Chambers' indictment hinges on the bogus charge he donated to “foreign terrorist organizations” purely on the basis he moved money from the US to Tunisia, where lived for a time. Fergie's persecution is a test case for Palestine solidarity globally.

@BigMeanInternet I just don't feel that tension yet. Doesn't mean it won't happen. But also I think there are ways of approaching the end of capitalism and imperialism without alienating people or harming the overall project.

For my communist comrades in the DSA: What's the argument for a big-tent org, as opposed to a DemSoc formation pursuing those strategies to the hilt? Why don't we want them to just do their thing?

@BigMeanInternet Yeah! from what I know most Marxists are on board with that idea. Some might quibble taking over the leadership of the Dem party I guess. But generally the idea is to force that confrontation.

A plane in the United States was forced to land after the sound of the adhan was heard from a passenger's phone.
A Southwest Airlines flight traveling from Tennessee to Florida was forced to make an emergency landing in Atlanta. Upon landing, a SWAT team boarded the aircraft and detained one of the passengers, accusing him of terrorism and posing a bomb threat.
It was later revealed that the detained passenger was a Muslim. During the flight, his prayer-time app activated and played the adhan (the Islamic call to prayer). The crew reportedly interpreted the sound as a potential security threat, notified dispatchers, and decided to make an emergency landing.

I get that it's an opportune place to organize rn. Left electoral campaigns pull in lots of smart, somewhat politically protean young people and you help them become communists. Got it. But that doesn't undermine what we all need from a demsoc org rn?

@BigMeanInternet Hm, I don't know if I can answer to that side of things, other than to say that my dues and work help elevate DSA locally and nationally, which benefits socdem candidates.

@BigMeanInternet The left groups have been able to successfully run candidates for DSA leadership and change DSA's political program thru convention and convos. I guess I see it as like a lot of people have these feelings abt the world that the marx caucuses are able to give language and form to.

@BigMeanInternet Okay this makes sense. Yeah I think the overall argument is that a big tent allows us to be a part of that terrain-changing strategy like you point out, while also allowing us to advance Marxist and communist lines of thought.

it could/likely would improve the terrain if struggle a lot. Not sure how it's helped by making them answer for the stuff I think is true. But clearly a lot of thoughtful comrades have come to other conclusions so I'm curious how you're all thinking about it.

Kurt Tank actually returned to West Germany and died there.
