@diligent_alien Aussie here, and yeah, the racism here is a pretty big issue. It's really ingrained in the older generations and it gets passed down to their kids. I don't think half of them even realise that what they're saying is bad. Sorry you had to go through that. :/

하다가 갑자기 “아 맞다 너 한국인이지? 미안해. 너한테 chinese 라 한 거에 이렇게 불쾌해(offensive) 할 줄 몰랐네” 이러길래
Offensive 라는 단어 선택에 열 뻗쳐서 “내가 어느 국적인지 확실하지 않으면 추측 하지 말고 다시 물어봐” 라고 말하며 성질 낸 뒤 did you forget a word? 했더니 이미 미안하다 했잖아..! 하면서 구질구질하게 쏘리 한 번 더 함;
그 뒤로 퇴근 때까지 없는 사람 취급 했더니 퇴근 길에 “오늘 중국인이라 한 거 진짜 미안해” 라면서 또 속 긁길래 “You should be ^^” 하고 어떠한 포용의 제스쳐도 안 해줬더니 지 혼자 쩔쩔 매다 감. 한 번 더 같은 일 반복되면 인종차별로 리포트 하려 했는데 아직까진 잠잠함
