After deep research, I found an interesting thing. More than 35 questions in UPSC CSE (Prelims) 2026 & 30+ questions in 2025 were based on PIB current affairs. For Current Affairs, don’t read any coaching's magazine, instead, use only PIB & The Hindu. #UPSC #UPSCPrelims2026

If your Plan A is UPSC and Plan B is another ultra competitive govt exam and Plan C is another exam after that… then you don’t really have a backup plan. You just have multiple versions of uncertainty.

#UPSCCSE2026 - Paper was undoubtedly difficult, to the extent some of the questions being called arbitrary and nonsensical. - Laxmikant is History but History has made a brutal comeback. (Approx 20 questions). - Ethics in prelims is a pleasant surprise. No complaints. - Unnecessary facts asked - don't make sense. - Lengthy - Unconventional .... the list goes on. My portion, Economics, had 14 questions directly. 5 could be answered directly from the classes and 6 indirectly from classes/ notes. The cut off might drop to 70's or even lesser. Lowest in a decade. 2 questions: 1. When cut off is low due to higher difficulty no one complains. 2. When cut off is low because the paper is abstract then people start having a problem. Some questions for which I want answers (preferably from UPSC): 1. How do you expect the students to prepare for such an exam? (I’m not asking about books. I am asking about strategy/ mindset) 2. ⁠Is UPSC doing this to wage a war against coaching institutions? (Questions asked multiple times) 3. Does UPSC want aspirants to look for other alternatives in the private sector and not depend just on govt jobs? My Opinion: UPSC wants people with high IQ, high EQ and a very stable mental balance to handle situations under extreme pressure. UPSC wants Dhurandhars!

@phoenixiasbyNS Read every thing which upsc expect candidate to read but u just don't set paper like this ,I got set A from question 1 to 20 it was just history by entire confidence ended after few pages which impacted rest of the paper

Seen many Aspirants crying; sobbing; feeling helpless. They think that their parents won't accept their hardwork. My suggestion to you all, don't blame yourself or your efforts. Tell your parents honestly that the content you read for the prelims,proved inadequate which wasn't prepared by you. You were dependent upon the coaching. They couldn't deliver

The respected UPSC chairman, Mr Ajay Kumar @drajaykumar_ias who cracked upsc prelims in 1985, passed a prelims paper which was knowledge based and all he wants now is leave hard working youngsters to chance in Prelims. This is what he solved in 1985 for reference👇🏽👇🏽

@drajaykumar_ias honestly I loved those PubAd, ethics, and other real life situation based question in UPSC 2026 Prelims paper. UPSC should actually include these more.. Make it 50-50 sir half gs half These logical reference case study based questions..
