We complained about ability spam meta in D2 for fucking years only for them to replicate the exact same meta in Marathon 3 months after launch 😭😭😭

@th3jmanx My one issue with what you said is that I think sunsetting should have never happened and if they had started doing that periodically me and a lot of people I know would have dropped the game and never came back

The sad reality of the whole D2 fiasco is that for quite some time, the game hasn't been in the best state and prior to the announcement, community morale has never been lower. Bungie, for the most part, mastered the recipe for the larger DLC releases + day 1 RaD content, but at the same time PvP has been in the gutter since Beyond Light, the seasonal copy and paste model caused massive player fatigue, the lack of sunsetting/a large scale refresh made rewards meaningless, Prismatic rendered all other subclasses useless, the tier system rollout caused irreversible damage and generally, the core game felt left in the dust. The real reason this whole situation stings is because 1) many of us feel like we never got the version of Destiny 2 that we envisioned and 2) obviously there's no D3 in sight.

What sucks here is if you switch to Marathon all it does is vindicate Sony canning Destiny, kinda like what happened with Titanfall. But if you don't support it, Bungie might get canned itself due to it going to be it's sole money maker soon, like D2 used to be

King’s fall is actually not a very mechanically fun or cohesive raid, it’s just saved by Oryx’s unbelievable amount of aura

If Bungie had any dignity left, they’d spend whatever time they have left with Destiny restoring the sunset content and bringing back the seasonal storylines so players can experience the full story

As Bungies only ACTIVE IP, going out of the way to boycott it is counterproductive and will do absolutely nothing to help get a D3. Maybe playing it and contributing to the space will help sway public opinion. smh, had a fuck ton of respect for aztecross but damn.
