@TristinHopper Wait until you hear about how all manager level and up positions require bilingualism. The entire government isn't run by the best people, but by people who can pass a French test. Used to be Director level and up, but Liberals just made bilingualism mandatory for managers too.

I'm boarding a flight between two Western Canadian cities with French-speaking populations of less than 4% each. And, by law, the entire procedure has to be bilingual. Until last week, it had never occurred to me that this policy may have helped innoculate Canadians for a whole host of other dumb government rituals that they know are pointless.

Adjust the mandatory Holocaust Education to be delivered in grade 8 and include an additional mandatory module about the evolution of antisemitism: From medieval to modern. 5. Provide additional funding to Jewish schools, places of worship and institutions to improve security, until the threat level comes down. 6. The creation of a Special Advisor on Jewish Community & Antisemitism. 7. Antisemitism training for law enforcement, politicians and public service employees. 8. Work with the Provincial Firearms Officer to ensure that licensed armed security can be employed to protect Jewish institutions. Together, we will get BC back on track - conservativebc.ca/black/

If you don’t see a problem with the CEO of Montreal-based former Crown Corporation (subject to the Official Languages Act) issuing an English-only statement about deaths on a flight from Montreal (carrying mostly Francophones) then I don’t think you ever understood Canada at all.
