But this only applies to new signs, ads and so on. So this company probably did not have to change.

Entrepreneurs have to change not only the names of their establishments, but also items like "bubble tea" and "fish and chips", despite the lack of clear criteria for what words are considered anglicisms. According to owners, instead of a patriotic effect, they've faced additional costs, bureaucratic red tape, and the risk of losing brand recognition. The law will come into effect on March 1, with the RAS dictionaries serving as a reference for acceptable borrowed words.
