@AtomicRocks Except this isn’t a thing in comics. It’s not uncommon at all to see Spider-Man appear in others stories especially when they’re set in New York and the conflict is significant enough to draw his attention. Especially in Daredevil

Side note, but it’s stories like these that really showcases how Disney’s Spider-Man co parenting deal with Sony really damages the character and his role within the street side of the Marvel universe. You want me to believe that for years now Peter has been solely dedicated to being Spider-Man 24/7, yet is completely absent from: -An alleged crime lord being elected mayor of New York, who also calls him out on live television. -New York plummeting into the shadow realm. -The wave of the corrupt anti vigilante task force kidnapping countless innocent New York citizens off the streets. -The district wide battle for Hells Kitchen -NYC turning into a literal war zone. …yet the next time we see him he’ll be holding a key to the city for all his great deeds? Like how is this not messy continuity? 😭

I plan to make a whole video about this in the future, but the insane damage the Raimi movies did to Spider-Man is insufferable. The fans of those movies will forever compare the MCU to it as if it's the definitive and most accurate version.

Underrated because Spider-Man 2 gets all the glory. I think the first one is better and is the one that deserves to be mentioned in the greatest superhero movies of all time conversations.

The most core important foundation of Peter Parker is that he starts as a selfish kid only looking for fame/fortune but when Ben is killed as a direct result of his selfishness, his whole perspective shifts & he is compelled, by guilt, to make up for Ben’s death Awful adaptation

I wish the MCU would just stop mentioning Uncle Ben because it always comes off like they don’t realize the impact this moment has on Spider-Man. Uncle Ben’s death is integral to Spider-Man being Spider-Man. Like he is not Spider-Man without it.

You can criticize a lot about Raimi's characterization of Spider-Man but those movies still had 100x more respect for the heart and soul of the source material than anything that came after.
