Barcade in Brooklyn opened on October 14, 2004, in a gritty part of Williamsburg. Some of our neighbors were a beer distributor and an empty warehouse across the street that housed a bootleg skate park inside. The neighborhood has changed a lot in 22 years! Now, as nearly all the brick and wood buildings around us have been demolished and rebuilt in steel and glass, and the nightlife has mostly faded away, we know the end is coming soon. So, we are giving plenty of notice… our lease is ending in LESS than 1000 days. 1000 days will go really fast, before you know it, so don’t be these people: “I wish I had known they were going to close!” “I wanted to go one last time!” “I was always meaning to go there!” (our personal favorite) #Barcade #brooklyn #williamsburg #arcade #arcadebar

Naoki Hamaguchi says it would be a shame to lose the culture around physical media and wants that to remain! Says they are working on arrangements for some kind of physical edition of FF7 Revelation! "We're still having internal discussions on what the exact SKU product lineup is going to be for Revelation, so I can't say anything particularly definitive at this point in time. But I am working to make the arrangements to allow us to have some kind of physical edition." "I do feel, as a developer and as a fan, that the general trend is for things to shift away from physical towards downloadable games," "But that's obviously talking about the trend. Personally, here at something like Fan Fest or at community events for games that I've worked on, I really think that people bringing up things, asking for autographs – I think that's lovely. I think it's a wonderful culture and it would be a shame to lose that. I want that to remain." gamesradar.com/games/final-fa…
