Great question Debbie. 52 staff (1.17 per cent of 4,445) declare they have a disability....and that’s any disability
debbie holderness@debbieholderne1

This is so right. Devon County Council and its partners will be launching a local campaign in the autumn to promote this but no need to wait until then if you are an employer
Mencap@mencap_charity

Only 6% of people with a learning disability known to local authorities and who are of working age are in paid employment. We want this to change. Find out more about the benefits of employing people with a learning disability. bit.ly/2sOyCwC

Very pleased @DHSCgovuk has launched this initiative; thing is though it's pretty modest and completely dwarfed by the scale of need among older people and disabled people, among others. We've not built many such homes for a generation - so far to go.

Thousands of extra homes specially designed for people who need extra support will be created as we announce an extra £76 million in funding over the next 3 years for new developments: bit.ly/2KQElpn

Our homes are exploring Dementia Friendly Apps for residents to use on the iPads, such as 'Let's Create Pottery' & 'Colour by Numbers'. The iPads are enjoyed by many of our residents whether it is to watch their favourite TV show or play solitaire. Which apps would you suggest?
