The Biking and Rolling Plan is a big opportunity for SF to adopt a bold vision for our streets.
But the current draft is falling short in key ways.
Great summary of how to move forward from @TrishGump and @zachlipton in @StreetsblogSF

Parents losing their minds over school driving mandates and the pure sadism of drop-off lines is a sleeper issue in urban planning/transit/housing, IMO. This will lead to change.

How do we incentivize kids and their parents to take the bus to school? This morning drop off traffic is ridiculous and needs to be curbed

There is a great safety project in the works for Frida Kahlo Way, which would create a protected bike lane and speed up the 43 bus.
To do this, we need to remove 33 parking spaces on FKW, which @OfficialCCSF has protested.
But I wanted to know, are those spaces used now? 🧵

We're disappointed that @OfficialCCSF is opposing common sense safety improvements for people who walk and bike in our neighborhood. The Frida Kahlo Way Quick Build project would improve safety for everyone and help get people out of cars— making parking easier! Our statement👇

We urge City College to work with us to find a compromise that preserves the protected bike lane.
We also call upon city officials to quickly move forward with implementing the Frida Kahlo Quick Build.

It's especially disappointing since @OfficialCCSF just passed its own Green New Deal, a bold sustainability plan that aims to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by 2035.
CCSF has also committed to shifting trips out of cars and to walking/biking to help manage parking
