@ColsIsKing It really isn't. I've said it before and I will say it again, the litmus test of whether this is a rivalry was decided when I realized I would rather the Sox win the WS over anyone in the NL Central. Those are rivals. This is a fun, sometimes contentious, crosstown series.

@DarrylConrad You listed 10 players in day 1&2. I count 5 legit players with 2 additional that can be discussed (Dex and Brisker). considering the NFL hit rate after pick 32 is below 50%, that's pretty damn good. Again, he can do so much better but I am far from calling Poles a poor drafter

This is fundamentally false and flawed. Each player has diff expectations based on where they are picked, the hit rate in those rds, and the role they play on the team. 16 of the 26 picks referenced in those 3 years were day 3 picks. immediately reduces expectations

From 2022-24 the Bears had the most draft capital in the league. They had 3x Top 10 picks, the 1st overall pick twice, 6x 2nd round picks… And turned it into 4 legit players and Austin Booker (who may be a hit) That is awful… 4-5 legit players out of all that draft capital.

@DarrylConrad I think Dex would be great as a lower snap count DT whose only job is to give me 15 of the best pass rush snaps he can every game. Lock in, collapse the pocket, and get out. Don't play him too much because he will overthink it. 15 plays in specific situations and that's it

@BearinVegas Sure, but including the IN option doesn't take into account IL jobs lost, cost of losing the Bears, cost to IN for the same stuff (infrastructure and roads) and creates a skewed visual narrative. I'd rather pay to improve the roads I drive on every day and keep the Bears here

Why have insiders (Breer specifically) made me feel a lot better about the Zavion Thomas pick as well? Why were boards so far apart on him? some had him in the 3rd, some had him undrafted?? Is that right?

I feel like both can be true: I hate that the Bears did not get an impact edge rusher in this draft, but I also like what they did in the secondary and on offense. idk how it gets fixed but they need some sort of pass rush next year
