What can you say during s3x but also at a family’s dinner?😂

A lot of people have been asking for my take based on my affiliation with UBA. Now let’s talk about it. I’ve seen a lot of takes and of course, it’s understandable why there might be some panic but let’s put things into proper context. Did FY2025 profits take a hit? The answer is YES. The Bank recorded about N331bn in loan loss provisions and N227bn in fair value changes on derivatives and that definitely looks scary on the surface. But here's what most people are missing: those are non-recurrent items. They were deliberate moves to clean up the balance sheet, not signs of a broken business. Earnings still came in at N3 trillion. Shareholders' funds sit at N4.25 trillion. Capital adequacy at 23.2%. Rights issues brought in N504bn in fresh capital. Based on the foregoing, it is simply safe to say that the bank is not bleeding, rather it is restructuring for strength. However, the non-payment of dividend for FY2025 is Temporary and the foundation the clean-up helped build for a better 2026 Financial Year is Permanent! This is exactly the kind of moment retail investors panic and institutions accumulate quietly. My candid advice: Do NOT sell your UBA shares. If anything; you should be buying….
