Even in human healthy arteries and #atherosclerosis double+ cells were detected. Their full gene signature correlated to plaque traits, different for each cluster. All hints to fibroblast function, which we will causally unravel in the future

GO terms suggested they could affect #Cardiovascular disease. Indeed CV risk factors, like #ageing and serum #cholesterol differentially triggered their presence, coinciding with increased fibrosis.
