Cities are considered as engines of economic growth created by people, driven by production, and thrive by raising productivity. Under the #SmartCitiesMission, 930+ such projects have been completed, which includes market redevelopment, incubation/skill development centers, etc.

#Smart Governance has been introduced in many areas of urban practice – traffic management, public safety and security, solid waste management, etc. through the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) in all 100 smart cities utilizing data to transform living in Urban India.

The projects undertaken by 100 cities under the #SmartCitiesMission are multi-sectoral and are contributing towards achievement of 15/17 Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs). The smart cities have employed technology and data to monitor progress and track performance indicators.

As on 25 June 2024, 7,157 diverse and multi-sectoral projects (89%) have been completed under the #SmartCitiesMission worth ₹1,43,686 crore (87%) and another 856 projects worth ₹20,484 crore are in advanced stages of completion. #9Years #SmartCity #ViksitBharat
