IF Kilmarnock request this postponement - it should 100% be accepted in my opinion. There have been numerous postponements in various leagues across Europe already this season - to try and help their teams out in qualifiers. I know other teams 'just have to deal' with playing Thurs-Sun every week. But they would not be requesting the postponement of every game between European fixtures - it's just one, crucial, knockout match. The longer preparation time could be invaluable, and were Kilmarnock to progress it could be season defining for Scotland's Coefficient. It would reduce our rivals Denmark to just 1 team in the league phases compared to our 4. We've never had 4 teams in the group stages before. It could make the difference in getting Scotland back into the top 12 of the rankings - which would keep guaranteed European League phase football for next season's Scottish Cup Winners/3rd place - which ironically Aberdeen could well be the favourites to benefit from. Lastly, I believe if ANY team requests a postponement to help prepare for a crucial European knockout tie then it should be granted. If Celtic, Rangers, Hearts or Kilmarnock finish in the top 24 in their league phase & request a domestic postponement between the two legs of their knockout tie in February then that should be accommodated too. We all benefit from Scottish clubs doing well in Europe and the norm should be to endeavour to help each other where we can - rather than look for reasons not to!
