Product decision I’m testing in Calyra AI: The output should not just be “here is your AI song.” It should show the creative path: - matched style - generated lyrics - emotional direction AI music feels better when users can see how the result was shaped.

Question for people who make or listen to AI music: If you were creating a song from scratch, what would you rather start with? 1. a mood 2. a short memory 3. full lyrics 4. a music style I’m building Calyra around this exact starting point.

Builder note: I started with templates because “just type a prompt” is actually a pretty intimidating UX. Most people don’t wake up with a perfect music prompt in their head. They usually have: a mood, a memory, or a vague song idea. So Calyra starts there.

@savefilmer I think about this a lot with AI music too. The tool matters, but the listener still reacts to the feeling, the hook, and whether the idea lands. AI lowers the starting friction, but taste still decides what is worth sharing.

the weird part is people call AI music videos "cheating" 😭 but nobody calls a music video cheating because it used a camera. or editing software. or CGI. or a drone. every generation thinks the new tool is cheating until it becomes normal. the audience only cares about one thing in the end: did it make them feel something?
