Penguins GM Kyle Dubas has confirmed that veteran defenceman Erik Karlsson will not be traded this summer.
While Karlsson remains signed through next year at a cap hit of $10 million, he is owed a $6 million signing bonus on July 1 of this year and just $1.5 million in remaining salary beyond that.

I had a feeling that crunch he took from Tom Wilson early on in that semi final game had hurt him. Hope he’s alright. I’d bet he won’t play next game though.
That opens the door for a potential NHL debut for Carter Yakemchuk tomorrow night. Something to watch. 👀

Last year, we raised over $7'800, and we're hoping to reach our goal of $10'000 this time around! Our efforts last year impacted over 400 kids in Ottawa, and we can't wait to see that number continue to grow. Any donation is appreciated!
