This is actually the smartest option. After the 20 days your free and clear no probation hanging over your head. Probation is a set up for you to fail. You can violate probation just by missing your monthly probation fee of $60 usually. About 80% of people on probation end up stuck in the system and will end up doing jail time anyway. When you get offered to have probation for a year or two always ask what is the alternative to do in jail to come out free and clear with nothing hanging over your head. Usually probation is a suspended sentence so if you violate then your guilty for the original charge and now you have additional because of a violation.
