@the_markcast @XFL2023 @USFL If I can't go to the Alamodome and root for my Brahmas, then I'm out. If they are playing "home" games in Saint Louis, then they aren't really San Antonio, they are, in essence, the Saint Louis Brahmas.

Some interesting #XFL-#USFL merger insights on this week's @InsideTheLeague newsletter. · Twelve teams would survive, with each league contributing six. · USFL coaches’ respective statuses seemed less certain than those in the XFL due to the way their contracts were written (one-year deals). · Our sense is that the new league that emerges will have a slightly more XFL feel to it. "We’ve since heard the leagues will play in six hubs, USFL-style, rather than in the teams’ home cities, a la the XFL. The latest information we’ve gathered is that Detroit, Canton and St. Louis are among the six locales under consideration to host teams. We’ve also heard the new league would like to expand into new markets that didn’t host teams from either league, including Phoenix and Louisville, potentially. While we at ITL hate to see up to 200 roster spots and perhaps hundreds of coaching and front office positions eliminated, we’re at least excited that there remains the chance of a viable alternative league. We’re hopeful the new joint venture, presuming it happens, flourishes and becomes an established part of the football calendar."
