I have just encountered the phrase "I haven't broken it, I have just increased it's need for maintenance". I think I may need this on a t-shirt.

@stanlivy It certainly helps but on the uni side there are programs with healthy bank balances not doing so. Noticeable at SHoRR because there's been movement for Ch8. Also you used to be able to count the number of G weight Pach 8s in the UK on one hand, whereas now we see some adoption

Is it just me or are we starting to see a significantly growing divide between what manufacturers the schools buy vs everyone else? SHoRR looking significantly more yellow now than a few years ago whereas for clubs and unis there's a lot more white with a blue stripe?

@Stewieatb Line 2 is the giveaway. Boats that have steering plates that don't work if you have bigger than size three feet.

With safety hat on I don't have that much of an objection to seniors going out on red flag provided all the other boxes are ticked. I'm not sure I would ever get into a position where I would let junior small boats out when they could just wait 2h for the flood tide...

@AmazinHOF There are air draft gauges on either side of the bridge. One at Chiswick Eyot, one at Harrods Depository. This is a vessel that has piled its trade going under this bridge every day for decades.

@SnailTideway To be honest, the red and white candy cane sign should be the lowest point of the bridge. The boat made it under the sign which should mean its clear. Not so...
