The Giants have likely dug their own grave already, but there are a few moves they could make. I am calmed down and thinking rationally now.
➡️Call up Eldridge, start him every day at DH/1B
➡️Schmitt in the lineup every single day at 3B/SS/2B (vs LHP). Adames and Chapman don’t need to play everyday until they wake up.
➡️Call up Jesus Rodriguez. Play him in the Jerar role, and bring him off the bench. Can also play INF. He would take competitive at bats.
➡️No more Walker high leverage. Plenty of guys are throwing well enough to avoid this.
There is a LOT of baseball left to be played, but you can’t dip any lower than this. There needs to be urgency, and you need to shake this roster up. Guys should not be comfortable.

Solid D draft. Insane reaches all over with maybe one or two players expected to make an impact in 2026. The good trades are the only reason this isn’t an F draft. First 3 picks gotta show impact in 2026 or else John lynch should be out of a job.

Sources told ESPN that Splitter was given a raise from his assistant coaching salary and discussed a longer-term contract during the season. The salary presented to him to continue on as head coach was far below a standard NBA head coaching salary, and further discussion was tabled until after the season, sources said.
