When are you going to start enforcing the punishment for these offences? @DerbyshireRPU @DerbysPolice We have seen this at the summit of A57, users are reporting this with evidence. It happens all year round, in all weathers.

It is amazing how people can continue to be so inconsiderate on this stretch of road at the summit! In all weathers, cars have been seen parked on both sides, usually, but not always, on double yellow lines & overhanging the carriageway. Is it too much to ask to not park here?!

Temperatures very likely to have been as low as -10°C last night so expect there to be icy surfaces. How is everyone going on today with travel?

Hearing conflicting information on the radio vs the @Derbyshirecc website. Radio says closed. Website says open Who has travelled on the road today?

@SnakePassRoad Road Closed signs have been taken down, very expensive electronic signs say beware ice! No issues other than ice patches on the higher parts.

The road is officially closed but there are local reports sighting traffic on the road

@SnakePassRoad A57 now been ploughed east to west, temp has now dropped below freezing, there WILL be residual packed ice on the upper sections not cleared by ploughing , traffic will be required to make the gritting work.
