@Snark150

In these snarked times, let's celebrate the 150th anniversary of "The Hunting of the Snark". I don’t visit X too often. Snark150 flaps its wings in blue sky.

Officially published on April 1, 1876, Lewis Carroll’s "The Hunting of the Snark" has introduced the 'Boojum' to us. Over the past 150 years, we met that monster on several occasions, and now we are living in a Boojum era once again.

@IamAmericasidea @PU28453638 @yikes1276874161 Greatest economy on record, uplifting all classes. Record employment. Energy independence. No new wars. Kosovo war ended. ISIS ended. Abraham Accords. USMCA. NATO pays up. US military revived. The only thing Biden delivered? Sold his son to China

Playingcards.io is a fantastic open card game system where you can play anything you want. Open systems are so hard to design and they've done a great job.

@MatthewTho36273 Politics explained in the Preface to "The Hunting of the Snark" The preface is on the last page. "Then the bowsprit got mixed with the rudder sometimes." The Bellman had it removed once or twice a week to have it revarnished and no one on board could remember which end of the ship it belonged to.

Trump has decided to send a hospital ship to Greenland. Let’s send a library ship the other way. Fill it with Locke, Montesquieu, and books that are banned like Anne Frank, Harry Potter, and The Handmaid’s Tale. Deploy an army of librarians. The U.S. needs books on the ground.

@PlaymobilUK You need something spooky? In the UK, already two of the three 150th anniversaries of "The Hunting of the Snark" (snrk.de/150th-snark-an…) went almost unnoticed. The last one is the most important one. How about a Playmobile Snark hunting party? x.com/Snark150/statu…

#OTD, on 27 January 1832, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was born. 150 years ago, his tragicomedy “The Hunting of the Snark” was published under Dodgson's nom de plume “Lewis Carroll”. Below you can see his nine Snark hunters depicted by the illustrator Henry Holiday.

@PlaymobilUK Besides the 9 (not 10) Snark hunters, there also are "Care" and "Hope". Henry Holiday introduced them to Lewis Carroll.
