@MoragSievwright Target benefits vote, shock, I hope middle earners rise up and finally make a stance that it’s time to say no, sick of working hard to pay for people to get more for not working!

Don’t be fooled by the polls folks. You absolutely must turn up at your polling place on May 7. Get your vote in. SNP said to be sitting pretty but if you value that good raft of social security benefits helping lift children up from poverty, the baby boxes, bus passes. Vote SNP

@cfcnewsroom @CelticFC @spfl Squad at best, lack of ambition, this and JF for another year. Probably 50k in wages between three, would rather use that towards one quality signing. Makes you think that the new manager is already there

@BethRigby Milliband not holding back, he’s basically saying poor decision from PM, this is too many now, how can Starmer keep going. Issue is who could take over? In your opinion Beth, who could or would want too??

ANALYSIS: So much to dissect from Robbins' evidence. My main takeaways: pressure to appoint; dismissive attitude to vetting; not outright vetting failure rather it 'borderline'; PM should have made it clearer he really cared about it (evidence suggests his team didn't). Where does it leave PM? Guns loaded for later

@JamieSwinney86 Jamie I think the way the team has performed over the season is a credit to everyone involved. It’s great for the town, my daughter watched her first game with her friends as she was excited about the buzz in the town, sad ending but doesnt define a season that’s be astounding.

As tough as it gets today. So far below the standards that we have set over the last 3 years Credit to Dunfermline, take nothing away from them, beating 3 x Premiership sides on route to the final, they deserve to be there Thank you to each and everyone of the 10,700+ Bairns 👏

@belfastbhoy1961 Once on the stadium the only focus should be supporting the team and getting behind them and the management. We are fighting for our title, yes changes are needed but not now and not in the stadium, let’s cheer, sing and chant this team to wins

Here’s a question for ALL CELTIC SUPPORTERS. Would you rather continue the protest and lose the league and continue protesting for years OR halt the protest until summer , win the league , then decide what to do next ? 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

@siamesebhoy Embarrassing as a fan, what good does it do a team, what does it do for our reputation, we have a manager who twice has came and out of no other thing than loyalty to the club has came and tried to make us better with what he has, sitting looking so disappointed being here, sad

Whatever happened to " Back The Team. Sack the Board " A set of fans blindly following the Green Brigade and failed Celtic Trust have sold Martin O'Neill and his team down the river. They are handing a title to Rangers by making football a sideshow at Celtic Park.

@celticfitba @siamesebhoy No supporter will deny that this has been managed horrendously all season, but this is becoming embarrassing. If you are a player looking to pick a club in the summer or a top manager, right now I think the fans would put them off as opposed to watching when the fans are inside

There's a new generation of Celtic "supporter" that is entitled & extremist. They grew up through a period of unprecedented success & took it for granted. They treat a dip in form like an existential crisis. They abuse our own players & disrupt games. It's disgraceful & must end.

As for challenges...From Rayner perspective, made presence felt today but with resolution of her tax affairs still far away, which ties her hands until resolved. As for Streeting, couple of sources make point that his past ties with Mandelson might make difficult to move on it...
Beth Rigby@BethRigby

By my reckoning, this day will be remembered as perhaps the most difficult days of Keir Starmer’s premiership yet, with even close allies telling me there are not sure where it will end. His admission in Prime Ministers Questions that he knew of the ongoing friendship between Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein hardened the sentiment of many a Labour MP who was willing to give the PM the benefit of the doubt and support the government’s amendment on the humble address. Insiders tell me that changed when the PM told the house that security vetting had confirmed the continued friendship between Mandelson and Epstein after he was jailed for child prostitution offences, leaving MPs furious at the Prime Minister, and his aides, for allowing Mandelson back into the heart of government given what they knew of him. For some MPs, this was an unforgivable lapse of judgement. From there, the government whips has to re-draft their amendment to the Tories’ humble address to ensure that it was the intelligence and security committee, and not No 10, that determined which of the Mandelson files should be released and which should be held back in the interests of national security and international relations. The government did manage to avoid a blow up over this, but that No 10 had to cave to backbenchers, led by Angela Rayner, concerned about a “cover up” is symbolic of the breakdown of trust. There were rumours flying around that Morgan McSweeney was about to resign - as a few MP’s publicly called for him to do so over the decision to reinsert Mandelson into government in 2025. I’d describe the mood in parliament this evening as a tinderbox, with even some of the PM’s allies unsure about whether the situation is about to erupt. When I asked one senior ally whether there could be a challenge or resignations that could predicate a challange, there was a long pause: “temperatures are running high” said the figure, acknowledging that when the mood is as it is, and Starmer is where he is in the polls, someone moving against him is a risk. Another senior figure told me that many MPs felt deeply compromised over the scandal, including some ministers. Asked if he could survive, one minister told me" "I don't think so. Many in the party are beyond upset." As for the No 10 end, there is deep frustration this evening that the government has been blocked by the Met from releasing information about what Mandelson told the PM and others about this relationship with Epstein as he returned to government. The intention had been to release this information straight away in order to back up what the PM said in the Commons, but as of this evening Downing Street has been thwarted. There is a view that the release would have been helpful because it would have perhaps led to MPs to direct their anger at Mandelson. The PM’s team are in a bind because they want the information out, but they don’t want to do anything that would affect a criminal investigation with the Met. One option for Downing Street now could be to go back to the Met and see what they can release. But with their hands tied, and the mood this febrile, the Prime Minister is in a precarious position as Mandelson crisis raises MPs’ anger and leadership speculation all over again.

@caim67 I’m lost, the fans wanted players, the club got players. Do you need to spend millions to make a mark or give loan to buy a chance. We need to trust in MON and SM. Nothing will change with board at least till summer, what will voting on our feet do, get behind the team

There should be less than 10,000 at the Celtic v Dundee Scottish Cup tie on Saturday. Celtic fans need to vote with their feet.

@mickyfagan67 This is the issue, fans should not be turning in each other, everyone has a right to their own opinion and how they want to deal with protesting or not, regardless of thoughts on board etc, the team need supported, the stadium is flat, get behind the team.

@mattyfro1 Agree Matt, we wanted players in and retained a 25m bid, positions filled that needed filled, so yes not spent money, but is that not better than wasting money, we have a 5m player can’t get on the bench.

Are loans ideal? No. But 5 well needed players are in the door. As well as retaining our best midfielder We have an interim management in place so huge amounts were never going to be spent. We now look far stronger to go and kick on to win this league. Back the team!☘️

@CelticGossip I am not siding with board, far from it. We need GB back in, we need to support team and management, that’s more important at the moment, we have a battle on the pitch to salvage the league, we all know what needs done, but it’ll have to wait till end of the season

@CelticGossip In fairness, I have more faith that MON and SM have had input in players, signed players that the positions needed filled, I definitely think Motherwell didn’t want to sell. The board rejected what was a great offer for Engels, we need unity till end of the season and back team.

@ailidhsmum @deanscope Think there is a player in him, maybe think the role he is playing doesn’t give him the chance to show what he can do, I think he’s more suited to the McGregor role
