@premierinn If I DM you I assume you will tell me the same that you have been telling all my friends, 'you did everything right'? It doesn't add up. Your fire exit was blocked by smoke. Your building structure failed to keep the smoke out. That sounds like you were the problem, not us!

@premierinn the team from @StoneHorseUK who voluntarily stepped into action to help Co-ordinate with emergency services and hotel staff. The volunteer staff of @UKPonyCon who were kept awake all night helping you, are the ones you are refusing refunds too. Do you now understand?

A lot of people are simply too exhausted to fight this, the mental health toll has been intense. Many of us have to return to caring for children and family, work, school and responsibilities. Or, even worse, people are in hospital. I’m not going to let this drop, for them and me

I’m not just fighting this on Twitter for me personally, it’s the fact that, so many people, not even people I know! We’re displaced by this fire and are being told they must still pay for the hotel stay, where they didn’t stay. Where they couldn’t stay anywhere. That’s not right

Following on from this situation, I can confirm the only emails I’ve had from premier inn, was ironically to send me a feedback survey about my stay. As well as an automated marketing email offering me a discount on a future stay. ^ Which was not related to the fire. That’s it

This is what the street looked like at 5am, this was hours before we were allowed back into the building to retrieve belongings & we had been evacuated at 2am. Many of us without shoes or clothes, my hair was still wet from the shower. @premierinn still offers us no compensation

Just to echo what everyone else has already said, but this has been a really poor show from @premierinn. We were stuffed into a cold train station in our pyjamas for several hours with no beds, food or drinks - what about that says "good nights sleep guarantee"?

@premierinn We're lucky no-one was seriously hurt, this could have ended much much worse and your solution is "We may possibly consider maybe potentially think about reviewing out T&Cs" Be. Better.

@premierinn @Reskell492 Taking this as feedback is not what you should be doing in this situation, refunding the people that had to be evacuated and sit on the floor in a freezing cold train station for 6 hours is what you should be doing.

I was one of the people affected. I was struggling to stand up and suffering from significant distress during and after the event. @premierinn didn't even phone me to tell me I had a new hotel, I got an email late afternoon on the Sunday. I was offered free breakfast & that's it

Apparently according to @premierinn If you are forced out of your hotel by a fire and don’t actually get access to a hotel room for the night that you paid for? You aren’t entitled to a refund. Despite making people walk through a staircase filled with billowing smoke, explain?
