The school in St. Louis had metal detectors. Police said the doors were locked. There were armed guards inside the school. Two people are dead. Republicans will tell you the solution is somehow more guns. On Nov 8, you need to tell them they’re full of shit.

@LOLGOP It's insane to me that we're tying all the "learning loss" strictly to the fact that schools were closed & not to the fact that kids were losing people close to them. They are living through a terrifying time & having to see adults dismiss their wellbeing in favor of test scores.

Kids in districts that stayed open during Covid didn't do any better than those that closed. And the people insisting there was some sort of policy that could have erased the costs of a pandemic have a anti-teacher agenda. That's all that's going on.

My cousin is moving out of her apartment and had the door propped open with my little cousin's box of his entire Geronimo Stilton #books and in between bringing stuff down to the truck someone stole his entire book collection. How unfair. It's unbelievable the things people do.
