On Friday, the DOJ filed a little-noticed response in the case brought by Michael Caputo seeking to unseal the fraudulent warrant used to spy on him during the second Trump administration (an abuse that is almost impossible to believe, especially given that it was still happening until very recently). It now appears that the DOJ does not object to releasing the information, which could be highly revealing. Michael was already subjected to years of Mueller-era surveillance and investigations so the real question is what fake justification they created to target him this time. It would not surprise me if they somehow used Andrii Telizhenko as their pretext, invoking the same fake narrative that Andrii was a Russian agent, that he was a source for Michael’s movie exposing corruption in Ukraine, and that therefore surveillance of Michael was somehow justified.
