@dyingscribe Even if we accept that Red is an inherently selfish option, ignoring the fact that if all pressed red it would all be fine, the global morality would balance out in time anyway. For one I think the shock of seeing that many people die would do it for most people

@dyingscribe The problem is the framing of the question. If the question were framed more honestly as "If you press blue, you die if most people press red," instead of framing it as pressing blue to SAVE people who pressed blue, there would be a lot fewer blue-pressers

@dyingscribe Given the context of the question, though, why would anyone pick blue? Picking red only becomes a moral issue if someone else picks blue, putting the target on their back for no reason. If everyone picks red, then it functions identically to blue

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
