Hope everyone is having a great day 😊, I've had to take the day off because I've got a gas man coming. Between 8 and 6 they said, pftt still not here 😆 Anyway, along this unassuming gritstone escarpment of Stanage Edge in the Peak District national park is a little hidden gem called Robin Hoods cave. Local folklore says that robin hood and his men used this cave as a secret shelter and vantage point and the nearby village of Hathersage was where little John was born and buried ☺️ Stanage Edge and surrounding area has remains of ancient human activity and the lovely walk along the top includes a paved packhorse track and long causeway with peat bogs on one side. If you like walking in bare feet connecting with the earth then this is a perfect place for that, it feels soooooo good. Definitely a fantastic walk for nature and history lovers 😊✊🏼🤍⚡
