If you can’t see the benefit of having TWO HUGE streamers who have been diving into fighting games and finding their own passion for it with their communities - you need help.
These types of things are getting brand new fresh eyes on the FGC and fighting games in general which is easily one of the most underrated and best gaming communities. More eyes = more growth = more opportunity.
So much more positive than negative here. 👍🏼

I feel like the conversation only a little bit ago was "How do we get more people into/to see fgs?" And this feels like that to me. But I see fgc people just commenting like "Sleeper/L/boring" like sure I'm not super interested but their communities are and I think that's good

I don't understand what the fgc wants. Like yes I get it, it would be more exciting to see like a Daigo vs Mena, and people have a whole host of issues with EVO, but this looks more like an outreach event. Trying to get other communities to see evo, the fgc, and sf6. Net + imo

I hope one day I'll be okay with how I learn and progress with my comp games.
I think knowing that others are hardstuck plat and have spent double the time as me makes me think that maybe I'm not the slowest around, but then ppl want me to learn FASTER and I get overwhelmed.
