@adamconover genuine question: I'm having a hard time morally resolving whether I should skip seeing Barbie and Oppenheimer this week re: SAG/AFTRA solidarity. Thoughts?
He says that drag will be banned if it "excites lustful thoughts." He's telling on himself. He, and other witnesses, compared all trans people to drag, said drag queen story hours were inherently sexual and "prurient."
The bill says that the performance "appeals to the prurient interest" It then defines prurient interest as "tendency to excite lustful thoughts." So essentially, if a cop thinks you look too provocative, or if a cop finds "lustful thoughts" entering his head, he can arrest you.
