Only 21 #CPFC players have ever made as many starts as Ismaïla Sarr (67) and averaged 0.4+ goals per game. The 9 players on this list since 1965 are: Wright, Bright, Armstrong, Freedman, Morrison, Johnson, Murray, Mateta and Sarr.

Correction: The 5:4 on penalties win was against Sampdoria in the second game of the tournament. Wright, Dyer, Gray, Barber and Hedman scored, Thomas missed. Sampdoria won Serie A that season.

Palace have played other matches against three of the clubs named above. Notably, Palace beat Kettering Town in 1930 to win the Kettering Hospital Cup and in 1990 played Fiorentina in the Memorial Pier Cesare Baretti tournament winning 5:4 on penalties.

To clarify, these are clubs #CPFC will have played against exactly three times in competitive first team matches. Unofficial matches (friendlies and pre-season tournaments) are excluded: AEK Larnaca Accrington Stanley Fiorentina Kettering Town Yeovil Town

@julianchenery I was there that night. One of only two matches my Dad took me to. He wasn’t a football man!

@SoCpfc I met Bobby Tambling at the Bridge a few seasons back and we reminisced about that scorchio he scored against Luigi Riva’s Cagliari.

@JorginhoFreIIo @bpfootyfc @Mark_CPFC Sextuple would be Community Shield (w/CPFC), League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League (w/Arsenal), World Cup (w/England). World Cup isn't considered part of 2025/26 season though...

Would Eze be the first player ever to win the quintuple if Arsenal went on to win all 4 trophies?

@Mark_CPFC @Sakkanel @oyeteejhayy Club would cup is a weird one isn't it. Most slander I've seen is that it was a Pre-Season cup which for me makes it part of the 25/26 (following NFL season logic). If it is a postseason trophy then I guess it's a part of the 24/25 lot

@awmcs 105 days for COVID is the record. Palace had a 35 day break during the "Big Freeze" winter of 1962/63 not playing a game between Feb 2 and Mar 9. Other long breaks: 44 days in 2022/23, 28 days in 2022/23, 23 days in 2020/21, 22 days in 1971 if you count the Anglo-Italian...

After the AEK Larnaca game on Thurs (19 March), #cpfc men have 23 DAYS until their next scheduled game, vs Newcastle (11 April). If they beat Larnaca, it is 21 DAYS until their next game (UEFA QF Leg 1 - 9 April). One of the longest #cpfc in-season breaks in history @SoCpfc?
