Events we're seeing are far from the united strength our city’s motto, "vis unita fortior", stands for. Violence & hatred have no place here. Division has no place here. Stoke-on-Trent is about togetherness, whether it's the union of our six towns or the bond among our people.

Shoplifting has soared & shopworkers are facing shameful violence & abuse. Yet the Tories have repeatedly refused to act. Enough is enough. Labour will bring in new law on violence against shopworkers & end the £200 shoplifting rule. Everyone has the right to feel safe at work

Labour will deliver 20,000 prison places to ensure that the most dangerous offenders are behind bars.

😡 CONSERVATIVE PLAN TO CUT CARERS PAY ➡️ At the council's budget meeting, the Conservatives only proposal was to CUT pay for our carers ➡️ They want hard-working carers who look after our families to pay the price for years of Tory mismanagement locally & nationally. Shameful.

Folks told us they wanted a cleaner city and we are delivering on that. Last year, in this alley, Council staff cleared around 50 reports of illegal dumping and issued 20+ £400 fixed penalties. Illegal dumpers are on notice: Today the fines have increased to up to £1000.

👋 OUT IN KIDSGROVE ✅ Great to speak to so many Kidsgrove residents. ✅ For so many around Birchenwood, off-road bikes is raised constantly as an issue but with police resources stretched-there are hundreds less officers locally than in 2010-residents do not see enough action.
