@rusty_nl It's kinda biased, the only people voicing opinions are the players who love the story, those that aren't invested long term either rush through, buy or drop the game. I have had friends who never made it to level 70 and 80 back in the day cus they couldn't😄

@SoVeryDazed I think it's important to keep in mind that a game isn't just its endgame though, especially with such a good story. I like helping new players through dungeons and etc and hearing their reactions to the twists and turns along the way, it doesn't seem like many are annoyed by it

After all that talk that they wanted to stop at 100 and explore alternate progression 😭 this is so sad to see

@rusty_nl But ~20 days of 5 hours before I can raid as someone who missed 2 expansion is really rough. Can't join all my friends who are doing end-game for a month as a return player. I understand it's a turn of for new players when they get sold on ultimates / raids etc.

@rusty_nl Used to run story on an alt and rush on main for doing content with friends asap on patch days. FFXIV story is its main selling point but it boasts a lot of quality outside of it that are locked away from new players. This being all group content where a person isn't boosting you

@rusty_nl What about HW, SB ,SHB ,EW and DT msq now? Are these optional or condensed down now, I haven't played Endwalker or Dawntrail because I don't want to be like oh 100 more hours before I can raid again. Nor want to say "I promise it gets good after 300 hours" guys.

@SoVeryDazed I think it was either in stormblood or shadowbringers but they went back and made the ARR MSQ much faster and smoother to progress through, it's so much better now Ultimately it is still an FF game despite being an MMO so I feel like most people are here for the story anyways

@rusty_nl My perspective might be skewed but MSQ being central and essentially the biggest chunk of content a new player does for 2 months is sad. I and many of my friends hated ARR lvl 50 back when HW dropped and we would not do months of msq while employed in modern day as a new player.

@SoVeryDazed I don't think so; the MSQ is pretty enjoyable and leveling isn't really an issue since they streamlined ARR a while back They mentioned alternate progression after 100 before so I had my hopes up, I guess they had too much going on for 8.0 already but I hope they come back to it

@ErynRico It's honestly debatable, in a pf context it creates a somewhat more toxic environment. But class damage discrepancies create more issues I feel. Entire classes barred from most of PF cus their damage is lower than others. Also believe the modding community creates more toxicity

@xNanagi Been playing since day 1 of Heavensward with plenty of breaks between content patches but usually vast majority of content is dwarfed by having no logical place within the patch lifecycle
