I promise you being an advocate for Palestinians doesn’t require you to automatically start engaging in soft and/or hard bigotry.

Since the start of the current war with Iran, many Israelis have been asking how it can be that the same IDF which is now dominating the skies over Tehran and intercepting more than 90% of Iran's ballistic missiles, failed so miserably to protect Israel's borders on October 7, when more than 1,200 Israelis were killed or murdered within a single day by Hamas, supposedly Israel's weakest enemy. In my article for @unherd I offer an uncomfortable answer: that the Israeli Air Force's grandiose achievements thousands of miles away, and the military's collapse on the Gaza border two-and-a-half years ago, are two sides of the same coin; the end result of a years-long strategy of focusing on Iran as a singular and unique "existential threat", while dismissing the Palestinian issue as a nuisance, a mere distraction from the danger building up in Tehran. This strategy originated with Prime Minister Netanyahu, but was shared by many others in the Israeli political system and defense establishment. It affected the allocation of resources, the nature of intelligence assessments, and much more. Asking whether it was right strategy, or a blunder, is necessary not just in light of what eventually happened in Gaza and Tehran, but also because right now, while the eyes of the world are on Iran, a crisis on the Palestinian front could once again erupt. unherd.com/2026/03/bibis-…

Every single mistake the Democratic party and individual Democrats have made since 2016 has been the result of being too governed by the online environment. Pay attention to Democrats who have learned their lesson vs. those who have not. Social media is a tool. Not a guide.

Let’s be clear. Hasan Piker = Nick Fuentes. Two sides of the same coin. Don’t campaign with either.

Everything Price Sufferer (but especially eggs)
I'm glad El-Sayed is a better man than everyone he's hired but given that right now the job of a senator is to raise money while your staff does all the work, this is alarming.

There is of course no electoral risk in condemning a synagogue attack, but modern politics is about weighing what the voters want to hear against want your psychotic staffers, activists and small donor base wants to hear.

Abdul El-Sayed said on a conference call that members of his team were worried about the supposed “risk” associated with condemning the antisemitic attack on Temple Israel. He says he decided to make the statement because he viewed making the statement as an act of leadership. From the article: “‘It was a risk,’ El-Sayed said. ‘All of our team was really worried about saying something, but leadership is being willing to say the thing if you believe it to be true that nobody else is going to say.’” Additionally, the article contains a link to an unlisted YouTube video. That video is the snippet of the Zoom call where he says this. While he is talking about this, one of the call’s participants comments “the synagogue raised funds for the IDF,” in an apparent effort to justify the attack. El-Sayed ignored this comment, refusing to give oxygen to the idea that there was any sort of justification for the attack. That’s good. But it’s also not good that there are people in high places within his campaign who would believe, let alone say, such a thing. I think Dr. El-Sayed is a good man. But I am supporting McMorrow in this primary, in part because I prefer a campaign that is not staffed by people who waver on whether antisemitism is bad.

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed acknowledged on an internal campaign call that his lengthy statement after the Temple Israel attack this month was a “risk” that “really worried” his team. @maxpcohen has the details: punchbowl.news/article/campai…
