Living one day at a time since 7/19/2017. This “design for living” changed my life and I couldn’t be more grateful. DMs open if you need it. #RecoveryPosse

Wether it’s big G or little g god, I have to always remember there’s something out there bigger than me. When I can breathe through and turn it over…that’s where I find the calm. “I can solve nothing when I’m agitated” #RecoveryPosse

The first 3 days or first week. The first month. Sometimes ppl downplay those milestones. Especially here w so many ppl in long term Recovery. But let me tell you something. Those first few days. Months? HUGE accomplishments. Be PROUD of yourself. And keep learning & growing.

@_BLShelton This is probably the most important time, sometimes the hardest time in recovery. This is where the foundation is built. It needs to be supported, celebrated and encouraged! Part of what keeps me sober is being there for the new ones in the game.

I had to continue to take meaningful action in order to keep moving forward. The basics are great, they are foundations. I build off of them to grow. My sobriety looks nothing like it did years ago, and with a little action, it won’t become a habit. 😁

I thought that’s what I was supposed to in order to stay sober. I wasn’t drinking but I wasn’t happy. What changed? My habit! I learned and accepted that my sobriety had to evolve, things I did in my first 60 days weren’t going to be the same in year 1, and so on 3/

Possible long post alert 🚨 I read a lot in the morning, it’s part of my routine, helps set my mind right. When I came across this I had to stop and think. Never do anything out of habit? What is my morning routine? How does this apply to my sobriety? 1/

Nice reminder to accept the things I can not change, change the things that I can and work on the wisdom to know the difference. #RecoveryPosse

Hey there. Just in case you're newly sober scrolling around looking for a sign. You are under no obligation to spend time with people this holiday season who make you feel like you are a piece of shit. Nothing is more important right now than your sobriety.

@WorldofRobert1 It’s probably not the same but…when I was in the military, my guys always had a special relationship with those officers who came up through the ranks. Former enlisted who got a commission. It’s not about the pond, it’s about the people you lead. You’re going to be fine.

@SoberMensClub I was able to avoid serious trouble or loose “stuff” so naturally, “I wasn’t that bad”. At the end of my last run, I remember trying again to beg forgiveness and telling my wife, “I’m not that guy” she looked at me and said, “you’re exactly that guy”. That was the moment for me

It wasn’t the second DUI. It wasn’t losing everything. It wasn’t going to jail. It was my Dad’s words 'You’re better than this.' That was the moment I chose to get sober.

If I've mentioned this previous, im sorry. For about the last month I've picked a kid up for work... his car is down. I originally offered. I was struggling as it had become an expectation on his part-me having to confirm with him if he needs the ride... No offers for fuel, no gratitude... I started to get resentful... Talked to my wife... She simply posed the question- is it possible to look at it as Service? BOOM! All resentment gone. Service isn't always about AA, but it is Always about connecting to my HP in a way that helps me avoid resentment, jealousy, envy... fear.
