It's been a little over 3,592 days since I woke up somewhere I shouldn't be, with someone I shouldn't be with, or somewhere different from where I remember ending my night before. I consider that a big deal. #RecoveryPosse

Day 350 sober!!! You can reach this milestone too, taking it minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, it soon becomes week by week, month by month, year by year. #RecoveryPosse #sobrietysociety

I finally got my 10 month chip (it was actually July 30th) but I mostly attend NA and we don’t monthly keytags! I am immensely proud of my clean time & I owe it all to NA! Once I fully surrendered to the program my life changed and is still changing for the best! #RecoveryPosse

Grateful. A few days ago, I picked up my chip on my mom’s birthday to honor her. My mom played a crucial role in helping me get sober, through her prayers and a medal she gave me, which she asked me to wear for protection. At the time, it was just an object to me—I didn’t believe it held any real power. And the truth is, that medal didn’t hold power in itself. Instead, it symbolized and represented a power greater than me, a power my mom believed would help me. She never asked me to get sober; she only prayed for me. Somehow, she knew I needed God. And she was right. That power continues to help me, even when I feel weak and doubtful. Today, I have my own experience with this power. As Dr. Jung and Joseph Campbell say, I don’t need faith—I have experience. I still keep that medal, and I know my mom is now my guardian angel.
