The @SocDems want to apply a reduced VAT rate of 9% on food and beverages - but not apply it to hotels. Leader @HollyCairnsTD said: "A major hotel in Dublin, charging exorbitant rates for rooms, cannot and should not be compared to a small cafe in West Cork." @rtenews

In the last election, Fianna Fáil promised to deliver 50,000 affordable purchase homes. They delivered less than 1,000. If we vote for more of the same, that is what we will get.

The Govt has refused to enact the Occupied Territories Bill next week.  On Thursday, likely the final day of this Dáil, the Soc Dems will be bringing forward a motion demanding action from the Govt on Gaza.  This Govt has run out of time and excuses. We need action. Now.
