I have put my name forward for a West Midlands seat on the Executive of #YourParty. My immediate priority on the CEC will be to work to put trade unions at the heart of building our new party – and to campaign for the widest anti-austerity and anti-war challenge in the 2026 elections. Your Party conference decisively rejected a ban on dual membership. Jeremy and Zarah have consistently said Your Party will be different, fully controlled by its members. I therefore believe the members should be allowed to vote for whom they want on the CEC, with no bans on candidates decided in secret! Next week, I hope to be able to explain to you in more detail why I am seeking your nomination. Solidarity.

@thisisyourparty We need to have people's budget conferences in the run up of the local elections. Initiated by trades councils or your party branches inviting all trade union proto branches, community, campaign and socialist groups to agree to fight for a no cuts budget and plans for fighting.
