@RapidsJason @soccer_rabbi The amount of money percentage wise is miniscule in comparison, just follow the $ trail. Its easy to overlook the small nuances and detailed differences in a franchise vs single entity and how its only benefited the billionaires, but has hurt the players, fans and overall sport

@SoccerClubHouse @soccer_rabbi How does any of that relate to the idea that supporting one team is supporting them all in MLS because they all get some of my money, but that's not the case in other leagues even though they all get some of my money?

Yeah we regularly get creamed in Rocky Mountain Mountain Cup and our owner is an out-of-touch selfish billionaire who doesn't care about the Rapids and yet HE'S STILL **miles** better than Del Loy Hansen. #Rapids96

It's incredible that DLH is still complaining when he furloughed staff, has not contacted them, and made the players take it upon themselves to give staff a paycheck. DLH made no effort to reach out to furloughed staff, and fired 50 people yesterday. Who's wrong here?

@JHill_MileHigh @RapidsJason @soccer_rabbi 2 different issues. We support Pro/Rel 100%. We do not however support any level of racism ever or anywhere whatsoever, or any org that does. At least the NBA owners had the courage to remove a racist owner, lets see if the MLS share holders will remove a racist biz partner.

Remember back in simpler times, in 2019, when @MLS didn't want its fans making political statements? Yeah, the reason for that is most of their owners are conservatives who didn't want political statements they disagree with.

Dell Loy Hansen says players "don’t support local issues" after protest, strike. The #RSL owner says he felt "disrespected." rslsoapbox.com/2020/8/27/2140…

@RapidsJason @soccer_rabbi The mechanisms for what these revenue shares serve is the huge difference and the %'s. NBA owners get rich with the players while MLS share holders get rich off the players backs. The single entity agreements are in place to maintain a monopoly and to keep player wages down.

@SoccerClubHouse @soccer_rabbi How is that different from any other league? Part of the NFL's.NBA's/etc, ticket sales go back to the league to fund its operation and into the revenue sharing deals those leagues have.

@RapidsJason @soccer_rabbi Whatever helps you sleep at night.... you may choose to ignore it but its still doesn't change that its all one bottom line, doesn't matter if you go to the MLS branch in Commerce City or the one in Salt Lake City. you still supporting a bizness Dell Loy Hansen has ownership in.

@RapidsJason @soccer_rabbi Not true, MLS Investor-Operators are all financially invested in the same business entity — Major League Soccer, LLC — and succeed and fail together. They all made their initial investment in the LLC, and they all receive a pro-rata share of the profits

@SoccerClubHouse @soccer_rabbi Oh I know exactly how a single entity works, but its a legal construct meant to handle player dispersal and salaries, nothing more. It has no impact on my support and the idea that because I support Colorado I by default support every other MLS team is ridiculous.

@RapidsJason @soccer_rabbi Not exactly sure what how you think it works but that is exactly how this single entity structure works, sadly the players are all owned by the league and it artificially holds down our domestic product, (the players) by having a salary cap in place for them.
