saratoga taking over all our feeds on all platforms is a reminder for brands to build for meme culture if they want to win social in 2025! “you don’t move at the speed of culture anymore, you move at the speed of trust” - steven wolfe *orders a saratoga on the rocks* 🧊🥣

What do you want to be when you grow up? I look back at my career and the winding road it's been and think about the little girl sitting in her classroom, dreaming of the life she would have. I watched Jurassic Park and wanted to be a paleontologist. That dream didn't stick. I watched Sally Ride go into space and wanted to be an astronaut. That dream didn't stick. I watched Law and Order and wanted to become an attorney. That dream didn't stick. I read book after book after book and wanted to be a writer. This dream has only become more and more vivid over time. Whether it's getting the privilege of writing for ADWEEK or Campaign US or me spouting my nonsense on social and having people pay attention, that little girl who wanted to write is still very much alive and well in me. That's why this is so special for me. This is for that little girl. Last year, I was honored to be offered a book deal through Kogan Page Publishing to share my love of the customer experience and all the moving pieces it takes to truly build customer relationships. I've been a social strategist and a social listening go-to. I've built advocacy programs and watched brands win and lose based on how they treat their customers. I've seen first-hand how CX doesn't live in a singular department, and it takes all of us to come together to create customer relationships that last. In the spirit of it taking all of us coming together, I assembled a team. A team of experts to share their thoughts on how all of these moving pieces come together. From social listening to customer success to behavioral psychology to game theory to customer retention to community to creators and influencers to PR and crisis comms to AI, my book covers all the moving pieces. It provides a metaphorical axe to help break down the silos that are keeping customers from being treated the way they deserve. Special thanks to my experts and to my community of incredible women who push me every single day. You are louder than my imposter syndrome has ever been, and I am eternally grateful for you. Stay tuned as I share more about my writing process and answer any questions that you have AND, no pressure, but it would mean the world to me if you would pre-order a copy.

feeling ennui when i look at the social media landscape today - there is not a single app that we enjoy anymore, especially as creators - AI is taking over all creative work and it’s scary bc we can’t always tell what’s real - misinformation is beyond our control and then companies make it worse by removing DEI policies - every trend has become a race and also every app has the same features which is making it stale idk where we go from here, this is my career and i want to find that joy again
