@MangaMeathead @scratchthatout I don’t fully agree with that take because he still sent that go out with me text to Ogawa even though he did walk it back. The introvert girl made it clear she wasn’t into him and as inconsiderate to set him up with someone else it was a way to get him to stop bothering her

@SodGun @scratchthatout Possibly but he's clearly also got a rapport from their interactions and for me I cut Genki some slack because he is *always* upfront. He made it clear to the student council girl he was interested in her and he made it clear to the female lead that he wasn't interested in her.

@MangaMeathead @scratchthatout Yeah it's inconsiderate people all the way down lol, pretty much everyone who asks "Have you thought about my feelings" ironically hasn't considered the other person's feelings either. It is kind of crazy how Genki keeps bothering her when she's made it clear many times though

@SodGun @scratchthatout I actually think Genki's crush is more inconsiderate towards him than the reverse, she actively tries to set him up with a girl he doesn't like out of the (probably close to the mark) assumption that his people pleasing will compel him to go out with her if she keeps pushing

@MangaMeathead @scratchthatout I actually really like this choice because it shows that even though Genki was right about how Saito didn't see Ogawa as a person, he can be just as inconsiderate which you see later with his own crush (which is also kind of a running theme in the manga)

@SodGun @Balurion2 Good to know and I agree this is the most criticized aspect of the season I'm just saying if we're going to separate writing criticisms from production discussions for HD that should be applicable across the board

What's funny is if a said a show like heavenly delusion was visually unique and experimental nobody would bat an eye. But if you apply a show equally creative but thats just super mainstream suddenly you haven't watched many anime. Hmm.
