Still haven't had time to fully sit down with it, but made some fixes that seem to have worked for now: Reduced input smoothing on the base version, removed the placeholder sprint, and adjusted weapon stopping behavior to encourage bots to be more aggressive.

Multiple pieces of feedback saying steering is extremely sluggish, to the point where tapping A or D yields a turn up to 60 degrees. I have not encountered this, but I wonder if it's related to a high input smoothing value having different effects for different users.

Gave it a quick test. While it wasn't happening to me before, now it's happening to me with certain bot counts on certain maps. Does seem related to input smoothing; made a version with smoothing disabled til I find time to cook up a permanent fix.

Dream brain couldn’t decide if I had to go out on foot or in this lil box-shaped rover, but either I or said vehicle had a line running back to the station so I didn’t get lost. While cooking a sample, I turned around and the line was gone.

Had a dream where I worked at an outpost in the desert on some planet. Big part of the job was going out in dust storm, “redouts”, to “cook”, using a device shaped like a little air fryer to collect a sample and test for dangerous particulates. Something was out there with me.

Hell, not to toot my own horn but I was surprised anyone ever gave shits about Altirus, and I think the only reason they did was cos of insights into a greater setting. And when I made V+ I advertised it as a pure toybox, but its non-existent lore still prompts discussion.

Hence why the Utilitarian Storytelling trend peeves me. "stop doing worldbuilding and lore and focus on the characters and linear narrative and literary technique" yeah well not all media is your fantasy novel, seemingly irrelevant context can elevate even the most basic premise

Love me sum deep lore provided it's constructive. Brigador is a game about smashing up a city. We didn't need to learn about Cyclolucidites, or what happened to the guys who invented Tubarão gas, or Volta and the paper plate masks, but that we did made the game more memorable
