Been using Blender since like 2016 but only been learning to use it seriously for the past couple years or so. Been like 20% actually learning new things, 80% unlearning bad habits and trying to be less lazy.

@Stella_Hoshii Top of my "doable first games" list is something in the vein of Iron Lung or Voyager 19. Simple mechanical concept in a tiny, highly detailed environment, but more of a sandbox about cleaning up debris, hauling cargo, and maintaining your jalopy of a spaceship.

Was hoping I'd have a revamped version of the moon demo map up by this weekend but at the rate building out POIs is going, prolly not. May also need to reopen commissions within the next couple weeks, or just panhandle harder lol

Considering re-integrating Macrocosm stuff back into Fractured Frontier. I put a preview modpack together for TIDEC (formerly IDA), these dudes and their toys. Includes a handful of skin variants (+ that texture test), 2 guns (carbine, SMG + suppressed variant), and a WIP tank.

hhhhhh I'd love it if the whole mod could have that look but keeping it flat would make it easier for other people to make visually consistent assets and painting would prolly stop being fun once I have to do it for every single character, weapon, vehicle, and environment

I have just discovered that Ucupaint lets you set layers to different UV maps, circumventing half the UV struggle. I love that plugin more every time I use it

Blender vets, is there some secret sauce to UV unwrapping or essential plugin that I'm missing? I just wanna paint this dude but I've been marking seams and piecing together UVs all morning. Or is this just one of those "Every Day Until You Like It" things?

@CenterSargEE Instead of trying to pack all the UVs into a single image I just packed pieces and painted them on their own layer, then baked them down.
