Bad news coming in from Manipur this morning. Three civilians, mostly pastors, were ambushed and killed. I opened the app to place the order and suddenly noticed the fruits section below. And there it was the same sweet lime for ₹95 per kg. For a few seconds, I just kept staring at the screen. Because the pain wasn’t about the extra ₹25 the pain was realizing that the people we trust sometimes change prices after looking at the customer. Then people say, "Online platforms are destroying local businesses." But honestly many local businesses are losing not because of online apps, but because of their own dishonesty. Now I really don’t know should we keep supporting local, or should local sellers first learn to be fair and honest ? Tell me "has something like this ever happened to you too ?"

What arrived: torn packaging. 824 grams of oranges. 176 grams short. The bag was ripped open. He raised it immediately on chat support. He called customer care. He sent screenshots. No refund. No replacement. No response. He went to consumer court. Swiggy argued: "We are only an intermediary. Not our responsibility." The court rejected that entirely. The invoice listed Swiggy as the seller. Swiggy was held liable. Swiggy's valuation at last funding: ~$15 billion. They charged a customer ₹28.61 for "damage-free delivery." JioMart might be the first Quick Commerce app to deliver after 12 hours. Ordered from JioMart Quick around 10.45 at night expecting a fast delivery….only to realize it will arrive the next day at 10 in morning. The store is literally near my house, yet the order got postponed. Needed a few items urgently at night, and now I'm stuck waiting till morning. Good that Jiomart cares about their delivery partners, but at least show the store closing time clearly before placing the order.
