Media affairs is a funny thing. Can Aljazeera publish scandals about Qatari royals? Does BBC or UK embassy expressing concern over press freedom hold any weight of integrity? The world is mad.

Our President truly is a reflection of our male population, because his relationship with Saajidha started as an e-dating situationship without face revealing. Now he is an ugly, short, balding man with zero morals that commits adultery. Such is the life of many Maldivian men

@myrinnish Listen ugly is subjective so that's a fair statement to make but he is tall considering the average height in Maldives. Just saying. Unless ofcourse you're like abnormally tall in which case again, thats a fair statement to make.

Should Maldives move toward non partisan local council elections? In many high quality countries such as Switzerland, Canada, New Zealand, independents run for local council elections. In many US states also its like this. Cause local issues aren't ideological. Roads, rubbish collection, zoning, parks, day to day service delivery etc. Party labels add conflict where it’s not needed. Local governance is best if it's community led, not party led. That's what those countries believe. That's why you see independents running for councils in those countries.

Parents of repeat bullies should not be allowed to hide behind “kids will be kids.” If a child repeatedly harms other children, schools must hold the adults accountable: mandatory parent meetings, counselling, parenting classes, written behaviour contracts, case tracking, fines for non-compliance, and child-protection referral where neglect is evident. Protect the victim first. Rehabilitate the bully where possible. Hold the adults accountable always. Child neglect should also be classified by severity. Repeated neglect that damages a child’s safety, mental health, education, or behaviour should carry real consequences. We are not raising children in a jungle. And this matters even more for special needs children, disabled children, neurodivergent children, and children who struggle to speak up. They should not have to survive school by luck. Accountability must begin with the adults.
