Poverty is so dangerous that many women in this generation now expect the groom to keep hosting and sponsoring the wedding…an event that was traditionally the bride’s family’s responsibility 💀😂
Meanwhile, this is the same man that is expected to provide for her for the rest of her life. The pressure is just shifting entirely to one side, and somehow it’s now seen as normal.
Godforbid I marry a woman that her family can’t host our wedding..

Whenever the expression "a fool at 40" is made, it is almost always directed at a man.
This is because, men are expected to earn wisdom as they age so persistent foolishness past a certain age, is considered a failure.
For women howerver, such expectations do not exist because foolishness is the default state. Which is to say, it is foolishness from the cradle to the grave unless there's a *COMPETENT* masculine figure to curb it.
And this is why when a married woman exhibits extreme stupidity, attention is often directed at the masculine figure that is supposed to have her on a leash:
