I think it's SO OBVIOUS when a celeb loves pro wrestling, and GETS IT.
Speed in his very first appearance took an RKO on the announce table. He was then Speared in half by Bron Breakker.
Look at the work with LA Knight and the sheer commitment on display.
He's not just walking in slow motion with a fake belt.

There is so much lore to explore with Randy & Cody.
It's possibly the easiest story to tell on the entire Mania card.
Instead we get The Jelly Roll Experience, and Pat McAfee shooting on how supposedly shite the product is.

One issue with McAfee is we all know he isn’t sticking around. So to ask us fans to get invested in something we know is not going to be long term is a hard ask. The Bloodline story worked so well because we knew it would continue for a while & there was always another chapter.

The only way this MIGHT work (‘might’ doing some VERY heavy lifting) is if they go for TKO vs WWE, with The Rock as the eventual reveal behind McAfee & Orton turning. TKO brass want to take WWE in a new celebrity direction that they know fans won’t like. Cody/HHH etc defend WWE

@22202JTT @WrestleFeatures Fair. I just think shouldn’t be a thing anymore. It sucks that this is still required to ‘draw’ a crowd. Wrestling should have evolved by now (and personally I think talent is the best it’s ever been) but higher ups don’t see it. I guess it will always be about making money.
