This mod did a few things right but it’s overshadowed by some of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen. Almost like the devs didn’t understand why ppl liked ER and watered things down too much with elitism. I played it a few months ago and just ugh.

@loversmotif You were never locked into statuses or anything like that before as many builds were viable, just some things better than others. But if you like it then that's great. My friends and I dropped the mod after getting to mountain tops because it was all just too vapid.

@SolaceKiv I found nerfed statuses to be really refreshing imo. I no longer feel like I'm locked into doing a bleed / frost build every time I play now. I found the mod let me used a wider range of weapons and be rewarded for experimenting with new ones a lot

@loversmotif But I guess I can sum all of it up with this. From what a friend told me. The devs seem to be very "anti cheese" and so they try to balance so everything is the same. But I don't think they know what cheese actually is and everything just ends up feeling mediocre.

@SolaceKiv like what exactly? I think my one complaint I have is that putting rune shards behind stupid torrent parkour challenges is super silly lol

@loversmotif Not to mention they removed some shortcuts in favor of forcing you to route certain ways to certain areas? Like the torrent jump to dragon barrow, now you have to run through the swamp and light the torches in the city which is very trivial to do but still it's like why???

@loversmotif They made it so all of the weapons are just very "meh" feeling. Even legendary weapons feel like they don't really stand out. Old screenshots I took early on when I noticed everything was feeling weak. Upgraded +6 lance R1 vs bare fist damage R1. The bare fists had more dps.
