#OnThisDay 1st Class Private Jerry Patrick was born. Private Patrick was killed in action in a helicopter crash in Thừa Thiên Huế, South Vietnam. He is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

US Marine 1st Class Private Frederick A. Bremer was killed in action #OnThisDay in 1944 at Peleliu Island. Bremer was a member of Division Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.
