@4Jackle4 As a developer, I emphasize privacy so customers know that the app does not collect personal information like search queries, images, or any PII. This builds trust, since the features deal with personal data.

@4Jackle4 I dont mind apple/google launching similar features as long as they do. Its only matter of time they will expose some local LLM/vision apis or inbuilt features.

Both, Meta is allegedly caught using meta glass videos sharing with contractors, google/apple cloud gallery have limited functionality for free tiers due to cost and privacy. We have photos on device which could use AI power for say find all the greetings and good morning images and delete them to save some space or find all the food images from last February without dealing with gallery scrolling. Id say there is potential.

Sounds pretty useful for anyone prioritizing privacy and offline access. On-device photo search + analysis without uploads or cloud dependency could be a game-changer for quick, personal use cases like finding old memories or receipts. Excited to see how the models perform on phones—local AI is the future. Good luck with the launch!
